Lac Des Mille Lacs belongs to the age of the Voyageurs. The lakes were an important link in the western route used by these buff, hearty, French Canadian Voyageurs who opened up the west in their search for adventure and furs. The Indians claim you can still hear them singing their rollicking songs about the campfire when it is a still, moonlit night on Lac Des Mille Lacs.
One thing is certain – this is one of the last unspoiled resort areas in North America. If the Voyageurs came back tomorrow they would find it much as they left it, very pollution free.
Cushing Lake Resort offers exceptional outdoor recreation and family fun. Small kids can fish off the docks or swim on our sandy beach, and pets are welcome. Our waters are jumping with walleye, pike, perch and small mouth bass.
